On another note

While standing there peacefully counter protesting last weekend, one of the "others" (little old lady - bless her heart) came over and asked if she could give us some information. There she proceeded to show us a magazine with black women on the cover and started talking about black genocide. I'm not going to lie....I completely lost it! I couldn't believe she had the audacity to come over and say that to a group of black women.

genocide: the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group. (www.dictionary.com)

The civil unrest in Rwanda is genocide.
The Tuskegee experiment was genocide.
Abortion is not genocide.

Abortion is a choice. A personal one at that!

so i just want to make sure, the stats don't mean anything to you?

http://www.blackgenocide.org/images/graph.gif

'This incidence of abortion has resulted in a tremendous loss of life. It has been estimated that since 1973 Black women have had about 16 million abortions. Michael Novak had calculated "Since the number of current living Blacks (in the U.S.) is 36 million, the missing 16 million represents an enormous loss, for without abortion, America's Black community would now number 52 million persons. It would be 36 percent larger than it is. Abortion has swept through the Black community like a scythe, cutting down every fourth member.'

I'll be honest, I'm rather curious what kind of response reading that elicits in you. Because to me, those are some serious numbers -- numbers that tell a story -- they illustrate something significant. I'm thinking you don't agree, but didn't want to assume.

you expect me to believe these numbers? anything can be manufactured....including the website that this comes from. so in response to your post....abortion is not genocide. abortion is choice.

it's also really easy to say something's "manufactured", rather than check out the facts, isn't it? this is the CDC -- aka the *government* and not just "a website".
