The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion bill is horrible. Not only will it further restrict access to abortion and uphold the infamous Hyde amendement, it would deny Medicaid coverage for abortion to survivors of statutory rape and any incest survivor who is 18 years of age or older.
So now there are different categories for rape? Are you serious? We have to take a stand because the right wing is going to drive this country even further in the dirt, and of course they are going to start with women. This bill is just a harsh reality of how much control they want to have over women.....

I completely agree with you. I am glad that they took out the term "Forcible Rape" but the fact that this Bill is only going to further the Hyde Amendment is pretty horrible. If we keep this up as a country we're going to just be back in the times where women had NO control over their bodies and no VOICE. I love your blog. I consider myself an activist of Women's Rights and have campaigned for Planned Parenthood in the past for Health Care Reform. You're awesome, I'd be totally interested in discussing this more.
